How to Change the Name of a Data Source in Looker Studio:


  1. Select any element (scorecard, table, graph etc.)

  2. Under SET-UP tab, click on the pen next to your data source 🖊️

  3. Change the name of your data source

  4. Click on "FINISHED"


Your new data source will be renamed accordingly and apply to all the elements in your report. You will be able to search the data source by the new name in the SET-UP tab.


You can also find a list of all your data sources under the main Looker Studio dashboard under "Data sources" and change the name from this interface.
