In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to find low-performing pages and give you tips on optimizing them for better results!







How to Identify Low Performing Pages via Google Search Console:


  1. Open Google Search Console

  2. Navigate to "Search results" (left-hand-side menu)

  3. Select "PAGES"

  4. Look at the last 6 months of activity

  5. Sort by "Clicks" from low to high

How to Optimise Low Performing Pages:


You have two options:


  1. Remove low-performing pages (de-bloat your index from low perfoming pages) 📝 Index bloating refers to a situation were your website has a lot of pages that have 0 clicks (e.g. 500 pages and over 50% have 0 clicks over a 6-month period).

  2. Re-optimise low-performing pages via enhancing their content, re-designing their layout and optimising them for speed.
