  1. Login to X Ads (Twitter Ads)

  3. Select Events manager

  4. Select "Add event source"


    Note: If you have never run a campaign, the system will ask you to run a campaign in order to access tools and access the events manager. So you will need to go through the creation of the campaign first if you're completely new on X Ads.



From here you have two options:


Option 1: Custom HTML

  1. Copy the Pixel code in X Ads

  2. Login to your Google Tag Manager

  3. Create a New Tag

  4. Under Tag Configuration select Custom HTML

  5. Paste the Pixel code

  6. Click on Triggering and select All Pages

  7. Save, Submit and Publish your Google Tag Manager Container



Option 2:

  1. Copy the Pixel ID in X Ads

  2. Login to your Google Tag Manager

  3. Create a New Tag

  4. Under Tag Configuration click on Community Template Gallery

  5. Select the Twitter Base Pixel

    • Note: don't use the option Twitter Universal Website Tag

  6. Paste the Pixel ID

  7. Click on Triggering and select All Pages

  8. Save, Submit and Publish your Google Tag Manager Container
