FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about pinning and featuring posts on LinkedIn.

How do I pin a post to the top of my LinkedIn profile?

Go to your profile, scroll to Activity, click Show all posts, open the three-dot menu on the post you want, and choose Feature on top of profile. The post will immediately appear in your Featured section.

Can I pin more than one post on LinkedIn?

You can only feature one post at a time using the "Feature on top of profile" option. However, the broader Featured section on your profile also allows you to add links, media files, and other posts manually, so you can curate several items there.

Where does a pinned post appear on my profile?

It appears in the Featured section, which sits near the top of your profile — typically just below your About section. This means it's one of the first things visitors see when they open your profile.

How do I remove or change a pinned post?

To remove it, go to the Featured section on your profile, click the pencil (edit) icon, then delete the featured item. To replace it, simply feature a different post using the same three-dot menu — the new post automatically takes the spot.

Can I pin a post on the LinkedIn mobile app?

Yes. Open your profile, go to Activity, tap Show all posts, tap the three-dot menu on any post, and choose Feature on top of profile. The steps are the same as on desktop.

What type of content should I pin to my LinkedIn profile?

Pin your highest-performing post or the one that best represents what you want to be known for — a strong opinion piece, a case study, a viral carousel, or a post that drives the most profile visits. It acts as your first impression, so choose something that showcases your expertise and encourages visitors to connect or reach out.
