Common questions about adding users and managing access in TikTok Ads Manager.
TikTok's user and permission management is centralised in TikTok Business Center, not inside TikTok Ads Manager. Business Center acts as the top-level account that houses your ad accounts, pixels, and other assets. All member invitations and access assignments must be handled there. TikTok Ads Manager itself only handles campaign creation and management — it does not have a built-in user management section.
Operator access gives full campaign management capabilities — the user can create, edit, pause, and launch campaigns, ad groups, and ads. Analyst access is read-only — the user can view campaign performance data and reports but cannot make any changes to the account. Grant Operator access to agency managers or in-house advertisers who need to run campaigns, and Analyst access to clients or stakeholders who only need to view results.
The invited user will receive an email from TikTok with a link to accept the invitation. They must click the link and log in (or create a TikTok Business Center account if they don't have one) to complete the process. Until they accept, their status will show as Pending in your Members list. Access is only granted after the invitation is accepted.
Yes — this is exactly what the member invitation flow is designed for. By inviting an agency via their email address through TikTok Business Center, each person logs in with their own TikTok account credentials. You never need to share your password. You can also control exactly which ad accounts they have access to and at what permission level, and you can remove their access at any time from the Members section.
Go to TikTok Business Center → Users → Members, find the member you want to remove, and click the options menu next to their name. You can either remove them from a specific ad account (to revoke access to just that account while keeping them as a Business Center member) or remove them from the Business Center entirely (which revokes all access). Changes take effect immediately.
Yes. During the invitation flow, after selecting TikTok Ads Manager as the asset type, you can select multiple ad accounts and assign an access level to each. This is useful for agencies managing several clients under the same Business Center — you can grant a team member access to all relevant accounts in a single invitation rather than inviting them separately for each account.
