Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about connecting Asana to Claude.

What can I do after linking Asana to Claude?

Once connected, Claude can read and interact with your Asana workspace directly from the conversation window. You can ask Claude to create tasks, update project statuses, list overdue items, summarise project progress, and generate reports — without leaving Claude. This makes it easy to use AI to plan, prioritise, and organise your work alongside other tasks.

Where is the Connectors menu in Claude?

Go to Settings in your Claude account (accessible from the sidebar or profile menu at claude.ai), then look for the Connectors section. This is where all third-party integrations are managed, including Asana, GitHub, Canva, and others.

Does the Asana integration work with free Asana accounts?

Yes, you can connect a free Asana account to Claude. The integration works through Asana's standard OAuth authentication. However, the tasks and projects you can access via Claude will be limited to whatever your Asana plan allows — premium Asana features such as portfolios, timelines, and advanced rules are only available on paid Asana tiers.

Can Claude create and assign Asana tasks on my behalf?

Yes. Once authorised, Claude can create new tasks, set due dates, assign them to team members, and add them to projects in Asana. You can simply describe what you need in natural language — for example, "Create a task called 'Review campaign brief' in the Marketing project, due this Friday, assigned to Sarah" — and Claude will handle it.

How do I disconnect Asana from Claude?

Go back to Settings → Connectors in Claude and find Asana in your connected integrations. Click the disconnect or revoke option to remove access. You can also revoke Claude's access directly from your Asana account under Account Settings → Apps, where all connected third-party apps are listed.

Is the Asana connector available on the free Claude plan?

Connector availability in Claude depends on your plan and region. If Asana appears in your Settings → Connectors list, it is available for your account. Claude Pro subscribers generally have access to more connectors and higher usage limits for integrated tools. Check the Connectors section in your account to see what is currently available.
