Is there an extra cost to use WhatsApp Message Assets?

Adding Message Assets is free — there's no additional setup cost. You pay only when a user clicks the WhatsApp button, which is billed as a standard click on your campaign. Message Assets don't charge per message received.

Google Ads provides several CTA options for Message Assets, including Message, Chat, Text, WhatsApp, and others. Choose the one that best matches your brand language and the action you want users to take. "WhatsApp" is the clearest choice if your audience is already familiar with the platform.

Can I add multiple WhatsApp numbers to the same account?

Yes. You can create multiple Message Assets with different numbers and assign them at different levels — for example, one number for the whole account and a different number for a specific campaign targeting a different region or product line. The most specific level (ad group > campaign > account) takes priority.
