Common questions about finding and downloading invoices in Meta Ads Manager.
Meta Ads invoices are found in Ads Manager → All Tools → Billing & Payments → Invoices. By default, only outstanding (unpaid) invoices are shown — toggle off the "Show outstanding only" filter to see your complete billing history including all paid invoices. Invoices are available as downloadable PDFs for each billing cycle.
Two common reasons: first, the "Show outstanding only" toggle may be enabled — turn it off to show all invoices including paid ones. Second, the date range filter may be set too narrow. Expand the date range to cover the period you're looking for. Note that Meta typically retains billing records for up to 7 years, so historical invoices should be accessible unless the ad account has been permanently disabled.
Currently, Meta Ads Manager does not offer a bulk download option for invoices — each invoice must be downloaded individually. To download multiple months, set the date range to cover the full period you need, then download each invoice one by one from the list. If you need invoices regularly for accounting, bookmark the Billing & Payments page and check it monthly.
A receipt is generated each time a payment is processed against your ad account — it confirms a specific charge. An invoice is a monthly billing summary that details all charges for a billing period. For VAT/tax purposes, most accountants and tax authorities require the official invoice rather than individual receipts. Both are accessible from the Billing & Payments section in Meta Ads Manager.
Yes. To access the Billing & Payments section and download invoices, you need Admin access on the Meta Business account that owns the ad account. Analyst or Advertiser roles do not have access to billing information. If you are an agency managing a client's account, you will need to request Admin access or ask the client to download and share the invoices directly.
Yes. Go to Billing & Payments → Payment settings and update your business name, VAT/tax ID, and billing address. Changes apply to future invoices — previously issued invoices cannot be retroactively amended. Make sure your billing details are correct before running campaigns if you need invoices for VAT reclaim or company accounting purposes.
