Common questions about adding sitelinks to Meta Ads.
Sitelinks in Meta Ads are additional clickable links shown below your main ad creative. Each sitelink has its own destination URL, a short display label (the visible link text), and an optional thumbnail image. They give users more ways to navigate directly to relevant pages on your website — such as a product page, a pricing page, or a contact form — directly from the ad.
Sitelink thumbnail images must be 300 × 300 pixels (square format). Use a clear, high-quality image that represents the destination page — such as a product photo, an icon, or a branded graphic. Avoid text-heavy images as they may not display well at small sizes.
Meta Ads typically supports up to 4 sitelinks per ad. Meta may not always show all sitelinks — it will display the most relevant ones based on placement and user context. Adding more sitelinks gives Meta more options to optimise which ones are shown to each user.
Sitelinks appear below the main ad creative on Facebook and Instagram placements that support them — primarily the Facebook News Feed and Instagram Feed. They are displayed as a scrollable row of links with thumbnails and labels. Not all placements support sitelinks, so Meta will only show them where they are eligible.
Sitelinks are primarily available for Traffic, Engagement, and Sales campaign objectives where the ad is driving users to a website. They require a Source URL to be set in the creative setup. Objectives that do not use a website destination (such as App Installs or some Video Views campaigns) may not support sitelinks.
Yes. Navigate to the Ad level in Meta Ads Manager, find the ad you want to update, and click Edit under Ad creative. Scroll to the Site links section and add or edit your sitelinks from there. Note that editing an active ad may trigger a brief re-review, though adding sitelinks is generally treated as a minor change.
