What can I do after linking Gmail to Claude?

Once connected, Claude can interact with your Gmail inbox directly from the conversation window. You can ask Claude to read and summarise emails, draft replies, compose new messages, search your inbox, and send emails — all without leaving Claude. This makes it easy to handle email correspondence faster by combining Claude's writing capabilities with direct access to your Gmail account.

Where is the Customize menu in Claude?

The Customize option is found in the left-hand sidebar of the Claude interface at claude.ai. Click it to open the customisation panel, then select Connect your tools to browse and manage all available integrations including Gmail.

Can Claude send emails from my Gmail account?

Yes. Once authorised, Claude can compose and send emails directly from your Gmail account. You can describe what you want to say and who to send it to in natural language — for example, "Send a follow-up email to the client from yesterday's thread saying we'll have the proposal ready by Friday" — and Claude will draft and send it for you.

Which Gmail account will Claude connect to?

During the connection flow, you'll be prompted to choose which Google account to link. Claude connects to the Gmail inbox of that account. If you use multiple Google accounts, make sure you select the correct one during the authorisation step. You can reconnect at any time to switch accounts.

How do I disconnect Gmail from Claude?

Go back to Customize → Connect your tools in Claude and find Gmail in your connected integrations. Click the disconnect or remove option to revoke access. You can also remove Claude's access directly from your Google Account under Security → Third-party apps with account access.

Is the Gmail integration available on the free Claude plan?

Tool availability in Claude depends on your plan and region. If Gmail appears in your Customize → Connect your tools list, it is available for your account. Claude Pro subscribers generally have access to more tools and higher usage limits. Check the Connect your tools section in your account to see what is currently available.
