FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about adding users and managing access in Pinterest Ads.

What is the difference between giving Ads Manager access and Profile access?

Ads Manager access lets the user create, manage, and report on ad campaigns within Pinterest Ads. Profile access gives the user permission to manage the Pinterest business profile — including Pins, boards, and organic content. When inviting a team member to manage ads, you typically grant both so they can link campaigns to the correct profile.

Do I need to share my login details to give someone access?

No. The invitation system in Pinterest Business Manager sends the user an email invite. They accept it and access the account using their own Pinterest login — you never need to share passwords or personal credentials.

Does the invited user need an existing Pinterest account?

Yes. To accept an invitation to Pinterest Business Manager, the invitee must have a Pinterest account. If they don't already have one, they will need to create a personal or business Pinterest account before they can accept the invite and access Pinterest Ads.

Can I grant access to multiple Ads Managers at once?

During the invitation flow, after selecting Ads Manager, you are shown a list of available Ads Manager accounts. You can check multiple accounts if you manage several, granting the employee access to all selected accounts in a single invite. The same applies for Profile access.

How do I remove a user from my Pinterest Ads account?

Go to Pinterest Business Manager → Members → Employees, find the user, and remove or revoke their access. This immediately prevents them from accessing the Ads Manager or Profile. Any campaigns or content they created remain in the account and are not deleted.

What happens if the invited user does not receive the email?

Ask the invitee to check their spam or junk folder first. If the email is not found, you can resend the invitation from the Employees section of Pinterest Business Manager. Make sure the email address entered matches the one associated with their Pinterest account, as mismatches will prevent delivery.
